| Stats Rules and InformationStats are crucial in the world of gaming. The higher a certain stat is, the better the player is in that particular area. In the world of Aincrad stats play an important, albeit not necessarily crucial role particularly in the combat side of things when combined with the player's own physical capabilities. The stats in SAO-RP are as follows: - Stats:
Strength (STR) - The strength stat is the equivalent to the attack stat. While each character will deal a set amount of damage depending on their level or rank, the strength stat can make the difference between an opponent successfully blocking an attack or having your blade run right through them. This stat is usually affiliated with weaponry.
Endurance (END/DUR) - Endurance or 'durability' as it is sometimes called is essentially the defensive stat. The higher this stat is, the better the player's block rate will be or the less damage they will take from attacks. This stat is usually affiliated with Shields and Torso Armor.
Speed (SPD) - The faster you are, the less likely you are to get hit and the more likely you are to give your opponent a good pummeling. This stat is crucial to those who want to hit first and ask questions later. This stat is usually affiliated with Foot and Leg Armor.
Perception (PRC) - What's the use in trying to hit an opponent or dodge an attack if you can't see it? Perception is the stat which improves your visual ability and your chance of dodging or landing an attack. It also allows you to spot things from longer distances, such as rare items or creatures. This stat is usually affiliated with Head Armor.
Morale (MRL) - When in a group there is often that one person who can influence and push the rest forwards. Morale is a unique Stat type that is not influenced - and cannot be edited by - a player, but instead by their standing in the game and occasionally the equipment they wield. The morale stat will boost all allies stats by that amount so long as they are within visual range of that player.
As a player levels up they will earn Stat Points. These points can be added to the character's current stats how they please. However, once stat points have been added and approved a player will be unable to change their stat distribution without buying specific (and expensive) items, so it is advised that the player choose their stat distribution wisely early on. - Level-up Stat Increases:
Level 1 - Base Stat points Level 2 to 9 - 5 stat points Level 10 - 10 stat points Level 11 to 19 - 5 stat points Level 20 - 10 stat points Level 21 to 29 - 5 stat points Level 30 - 10 stat points Level 31 to 39 - 5 stat points Level 40 - 10 stat points Level 41 to 49 - 5 stat points Level 50 - 10 stat points
Note - stat points can also occasionally be earned in site events. In these circumstances, please link the post where an admin has awarded the stat bonus when you update your stats.
Weapon stats will add to the players current stats as well, thus it is advised that players either build stats that suit their chosen weapon, or choose a weapon that fits with their own stat distribution. | |
